Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer for Sale?

September 11th, 2007 | Category: News,Star Wars Role Playing

One of the most deadly weapons of the galactic empire and its remnants, the Eclipse class super star destroyer, has been in use since Zero ABY. It was manufactured by Kuat Drive Yards, but mostly came into use Six years after the battle of Endor. The first of its class, the Eclipse, begun construction at the Kuat Drive Yards orbiting Kuat in Zero ABY. The majority of the ship, including the axial super laser and other weapons, was completed in Four ABY, the entire time crime lord Tyber Zahn had been watching and planning for the right moment. In Four ABY he took the moment by surprise and launched an assault onto the Kuat Drive Yards. He had coveted the Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer Eclipse for four years now, and he wanted it. Though the axial super lasers were not as strong as the one that was on the death stars, the axial super laser could destroy a capital ship or rip through a planetary shield and leave the surface as a dead wasteland. Also this particular Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyed suffered from constant axial super laser breakdowns, which caused later models to lower the power of the axial super laser in an attempt to fix these breakdowns.

But Tyber Zahn overlooked these problems and attacked the Kuat Drive Yards during another assault, but the other assault was one by the Rebel Alliance. He managed to hijack it during the battle, and his original plan was to steal the ship and the valuable data onboard the databanks of the Eclipse. He then had control of the most powerful starship in the galaxy and used it against the forces of the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance during the battle. He destroyed much of the forces of the Galactic Empire and Rebel Alliance, and forced the Rebel Alliance to jump to hyperspace and retreat. Though the Galactic Empire did not retreat, instead they called in reinforcements to attempt to retake the Eclipse. The reinforcements were not able to do much before Tyber Zahn activated the axial super laser and fired onto the Imperial forces, and left the Consortium fleet to destroy the rest. While he had control he downloaded all the data out of the databanks and then left the Eclipse for the empire to recapture before leaving the system. He knew that the biggest and strongest starship in the galaxy was too big of a target for an underground organization to control.

The Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer is one of the largest capital ships ever built. It boasts a massive sixteen thousand meters in length. It has five hundred fifty Turbo laser batteries, and five hundred heavy laser cannons, and that’s only the laser based weapons. It also has two hundred fifty concussion missile launchers and seventy five ion cannon turrets. But sometimes destroying the enemy is not the objective, which is why it has weapons on it to destroy you, but also ones to stop you. It also has the features that allow it to make rapid hyperspace jumps at a moments notice. It has a Class Two Hyper drive system, along with a Backup Class Six Drive. Even outside of hyperspace it has the speed to dominate a battlefield in space. It can cruise at a maximum of Sixty One MGLT, this allows it to fill the role of a High Speed Battleship along with it’s many other roles.

It can also be used as a mobile command center for the empire. It can hole massive amounts of ships, vehicles, and troops. It has the capability to hold Six Hundred TIE Interceptors and Ninety Six TIE Bombers, and still have docking ability for Lambda T-4a Class Shuttle Craft and similar craft. It also can carry a ground force that could take control of any planet in its path. With One Hundred Fifty Thousand Ground Soldiers along with One Hundred All Terrain Armored Transports (AT-AT). It also carries five prefabricated garrison bases, for establishing a foothold on a planet and giving a base for the troops. Also with its Six hundred Thousand metric ton cargo capacity and ten year consumables, this ship has the ability to wonder the space watching, waiting; waiting for the order to strike, where it will jump out and dominate all in its path. It can operate on a skeleton crew, with only Eighty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Crew Members, and still pummel a Mon-Calamari Cruiser to oblivion.

Its strong might and sleek design makes it a frightful sight when it jumps out of hyperspace into your local system. Once you saw it though, there was no chance of escaping; The Eclipse class was fitted with Ten Gravity Well generators along with seventy five ion cannons. It could impede your hyperspace jump capability of stop you dead in space. Its One hundred tractor beams can then either pull you into the hanger bays for inspection, or boarding, or tear you apart by pulling all over until your ship bursts. This makes it one of the most powerful, fast, and also one of the largest star craft in the galaxy today.

You may be asking yourself, why this information matters at all. The reason may shock, scare, and surprise you. The Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyer was recently located on the Holo Net, listed for sale. It was discovered by Imperial Holo Net Security Forces that there was a Holo Net auction for an Eclipse Class Star Destroyer, with a starting bid at Ten Billion Imperial Credits. Through tactics, which they would not disclose for security reasons, they were able to trace the auction to a Housing Station orbiting Abrae. Recently released information states that the man who was running the auction, a former Imperial Naval Officer, was attempting to make the money to pay off a variety of transactions, bounties, and loans. He is currently in transit to an undisclosed Imperial Prison Colony, listed, where he awaits an Imperial Court Hearing to determine what exactly he will be sentenced for, though it is expected that he will receive no less than life imprisonment on an imperial penal colony. The auction was taken off the Holo net, and currently all credits put into the auction by potential buyers are being used as evidence in the case. After the hearing the credits will be returned to they buyers, unless it is determined that there was a malicious intent of gaining this craft. The Imperial Holo Net Security Forces had this to say,

“Recently our investigative squads located a fraudulent auction on the Holo net auction channels. It was found that an Eclipse Class Star Destroyer was listed for sale at a massive amount of imperial credits for the starting bid. This action was taken down by our forces, and the auction posted was arrested, he currently awaits a hearing. There we will determine his imprisonment location and time. We currently have no more details for the media, except that any credits that were placed on this auction are being used as evidence and will be returned after the hearing unless it is found that the buyer had malicious intent.â€Â

It is currently unknown when the hearing will begin, nor is it known who exactly bid on the Eclipse Class. But it can be speculated that any bidders will most likely be contacted by imperial security forces soon. The Imperial Holo Net Security Forces also urge citizens to report any outrageous or impossible auctions, similar to this one, to them immediately. They also urge you not to bid on the fraudulent auctions no matter how tempting they are. They also assured citizens that they will release more details as time passes, and that they have nothing to worry about. Details about Eclipse Class Super Star Destroyers can be found at the Holo Net Link Below.

Stocks for Dummies

July 16th, 2007 | Category: New Recruit Tips,News,Stock Tips,VE Today

Simply put, I usually stay away from those that requires a certain hold time period, in case there was any sudden drops in prices, it won’t hurt me a lot. But occasionally, it would be smart to buy certain division stocks such as navy or army when you know that there’s going to be a period of high activity coming up, i.e.: ESC. Those are almost guarantees that the prices will go up. But when those times come around, those stocks go fast, so you gotta buy fast, else they’re gone before you know it. Another thing i watch out for is the actual prices when I buy them. I try not to buy anything that’s over 100 ICs, unless there’s a good reason for me to. Much less ones over 200. There are very little growth on those stocks that are that high. The idea is to buy them when they’re low and then sell when they’re high. The Quotes section provides very good information to how the stock has been doing in the past. If a certain stock has always been high, and it suddenly starts dropping, then that would be a good time to start watching it, and once it flats out, that would be the time to buy it. I would usually give a stock a week or so to make sure that it actually does flat out instead of keep dropping after a couple of days. The same goes for when to sell the stocks. Given that it’s a 0 hold time stock, it’s a good time to sell it when it flats out for more than at least a week.

But that only goes if the price is based upon activity. As you all know, another way the prices change is based upon the number of shares in circulation. The more people buy, the higher it goes, and the more people sell, the lower it drops. And that greatly changes when people with a large number of shares buy and sell stocks. For example, Kadann, Talon, Fury, or Japheth, these four hold the most shares in some stocks. When they buy or sell, you can usually tell. They are the ones that are buying or selling millions of shares at once. And once they do, then it would usually be a good time to follow. When they sell, it would probably be a good time for you to sell as well, given that you hold the same stock and are sellable. Same goes for when they buy, it’s a good time for you to buy. Because the prices on the stocks are bound to change when that many number of shares are sold/bought. But how do you tell when they’ve bought a stock or sold? You look to the Quotes section. When you see that the number of shares for sale is more than the number of shares in question, then those were sold, if there’s less, then they were bought. And even if you don’t catch up to that, the prices will probably change within a day, or at least by the end of the day. But even if they do sell a large number, it’s usually a good idea to hold it for at least half a day or so. From my experience, stock prices tend to go up a bit, even if shares were sold, solely from the influx of activity of the stock.

And if all else fails, do PPC. It is what provided as the financial base for me. By the time the new Imperitrade was opened, I only had less than 3 million ICs. I was able to use that to climb to 5, 8, 10, 15, 20 million, and later onto 30, 40, and now, over 60 millions total.

What contributed greatly to that was back when the stocks first started, they started low, usually around the 20’s and 30’s in price, and have climbed to over 100 in some. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen all the time anymore. So you’ll just have to go with the lowest ones possible sometimes, which is around 50 or 60 ICs.

In conclusion:

  1. Stick with 0 hold time stocks.*
  2. Buy low, no higher than 100ICs in stock price.*
  3. Sell/buy when the stocks have flattened out. See quotes for info.
  4. Look out for big sale changes.
  5. Last but not least, be smart, think for yourself. I’m not the greatest stock broker, so my experience may not be the most money productive.

*Unless given a good reason to act against those two basic principles.

Euceron; Galactic Games

July 02nd, 2006 | Category: News

The Galactic Games have been the main story mission of the whole army excluding the Wraith squad. Our very own Colonel Rizzit brought up the Games. The Colonel explained that the Galactic game refers to like a star wars version of the Olympics in real life.

Unlike other stories, Army members are undercover in search of any disturbance in Euceron; was a planet known for its smugglers and illegal activities were the galactic games are being hosted. Colonel Rizzit as Platoon commander began the post with a magnificent Introduction that soon led each group separated into the city streets of Euceron. The Mission Began back at the Army’s base, in Tadath.

Each squad began to pack up there weapons, armors and auxiliary items. Each squad took off, and landed on Euceron. Concetta, The representative and Ruling power of Euceron allowed the Vast Empire to be undercover for the Galactic games. They must guard and make sure nothing goes wrong between the contestants or the crowd. Some of the troopers will be contestants undercover, there are also willing to be part of the crow means of necessary.

As the troopers got safely to Euceron, Colonel Rizzit began his briefing as soon as he gathered his fellow troopers. Rizzit being the head of the mission separated troopers into groups. Each group will have a specific activity at there hands. SLS, ASLS, FTC’s will each lead a group of five people or so depending on the amount. The Galactic Game rituals where soon to start, But until then the troopers each went along there group and patrolled there assigned areas with there leaders. With only a few hours the groups were encountering there first threat. The streets had midnight Crooks lurking around, along with the Foggy, hasty climate it all soon began to scare even the bravest of them all. The Galactic Games were far from beginning.

Star Wars TV Show?

March 26th, 2006 | Category: News

“The proposed Star Wars TV series will run at least 100 episodes if all goes according to plan,” Rick McCallum told the BBC recently. McCallum has been George Lucas’ producing partner for a long time, so hopefully this is a good sign of some exciting add-ons to the already great movies.

The episodes would show what happened with the life of Luke Skywalker for 20 years between Episode III and Episode IV. Official reports say:

– 100 episodes
– 1 hour each
– Based on a spin-off character
– Lucas will direct first season
– Write season one at one time
– Film season one at one time
– Takes place between Episode III and Episode IV

The series is being constructed in a new Singapore facility and at Skywalker ranch. The CGI (Computer generated image) animation will be done at a cost of 1 million dollars per episode. There will be a showcase at the San Diego Comic Con in 2007 and the first episodes will air sometime in 2008.

Hopefully this will be something that all the Star Wars fans will enjoy if it is done well. The series will also provide some inside information on what the story was with Luke’s childhood, for those who are too lazy to read anyway.

The Death of Michael Sheard a.k.a. Admiral Ozzel

September 03rd, 2005 | Category: News

Michael Sheard, better known as Admiral Ozzel from Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back and also as Adolf Hitler five times in various movies, died Wednesday, August 31, 2005, in his home on the Isle of Wight just off of the southern coast of England, Europe, his agent reported. He was 65 years old.

His agent, Liz Hobbs, reported that the actor had been suffering from cancer for a while and it seemed as if he was not going to recover from the dreaded disease.

Sheard had appeared in over forty to close to fifty featured films and had worked closely with some very well-known actors, such as Lawrence Olivier, David Niven, Roger Moore, and Sean Connery.

He is also best known in Britain for his role as Mr. Maurice Bronson, a teacher who terrorizes his pupils in the long-running teenage soap “Grange Hill”.

Reply Wars – Rewards and Controversy

September 03rd, 2005 | Category: News

Reply Wars, the giant ComNet posting competition offering a variety of rewards to those who participate. The rules are simple: the competition runs until two-thousand posts are made, no signature is allowed on that post, all posts must follow the other, and no editing. (Further explanation of these guidelines, as well as current statistics are available on the respective ComNet thread.)

To many, Reply Wars is a way to think creatively and cash in on some great prizes, but to others, it can be a nuisance. As with many ‘reply’ activities such as ‘Word Run-on’ or ‘Counting’, the object of the post is to continue on from the previous post and to do so infinitely. Although posts like Reply Wars have a purpose, (make the participants make good use of their imaginations and fully utilize their creativeness) others simply exist and in the opinion of many, waste the time of those who are involved.

This matter comes down to a basic principle: “Work before pleasure”, and it seems that some members don’t understand that concept. It makes perfect sense to complete your duties, (whatever those may be) before running around and contributing to something that definitely does not make good use of your time. Although, many activities that are done when not working have proven to be unproductive, they are there for those who have done what needs to be done.

Due to these reasons, one such activity ‘Counting’, has been eliminated from the Lounge thread. It simply involved posting one number after another, (consecutively of course) and literally could have no end. The number just kept growing, and for what? ‘1, 2, 3, 4…’, fun, right? This was evaluated and thought to be a problem, therefore, it was removed. Unfortunately, this needed to be done because people insist on immersing themselves in things that have no purpose whatsoever.

It can be frustrating for anyone who observes this chain of events, especially with a lack of activity in many areas. Unfortunately, if this keeps happening, we might be seeing a lot more removal of down-time activities in the near future, and I don’t believe anyone wants that.

Navy Renovations Underway with the New Roster

August 06th, 2005 | Category: News

As the ever-changing Imperial Navy evolves, there is a need to keep the roster of the Vast Empire’s Navy as up-to-date as possible. However, this article isn’t about the addition of new recruits. It’s about the new Navy roster.

Admiral Japheth, the Naval Commander-in-Chief, has been spending most of his time updating the Naval roster by adding recruits, taking away AWOLed recruits, and adding new positions to the roster. But now, it has taken a giant step for Navy kind: the roster for the VE Navy has a completely new design.

In place of the older roster is a new one, more advanced than ever. Instead of saying something plain like “Kaph Squadron”, it has morphed into the more Imperial-like phrase “1st VE Star fighter Group: Kaph Squadron”, and so on and so forth for the other squadrons, thus making Nazgul “2nd VE Star fighter Group: Nazgul Squadron” and Aegis “3rd VE Star fighter Group: Aegis Squadron”.

Also, in addition to that, a flight school has opened up, stationed on board the Platform Saratoga. Similar to the Army’s Drill Squad, the Vast Imperial Flight School will help those new recruits just entering the Navy pass their exams and get a position in an actual squadron. Captain sk8guy is in charge of that.

As the roster additions change from the work of Admiral Japheth, the Navy once again receives a new “face” (see the first edition of the VE Today to see my article “The Face of the Ever-Changing Navy”) that inspires us all. Special thanks to Japheth for taking his time to improve the roster for all of us to see.

The End Comes, November 1st

August 06th, 2005 | Category: News

A happy and sad moment is coming to Star Wars fans November 1st – The release of Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Happy because once again we can experience this great movie (legally, that is. Shame on you, movie-downloaders!). The sad thing is, is this is the last big star-wars thing we have to look forwards to. Since they decided against making episodes 7-9, Episode III is the last Star Wars we will see. Sure, there will be re-release after re-release, but nothing new. The DVD will feature the movie at its highest quality, and includes a few bonus features, including multi-level demo of Star Wars Battlefront 2 (I hope for Xbox). For those of you who haven’t seen the movie (Shame on you also!), it is about the final stages of the Clone Wars and the completion of Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader. Filled with lots of dismemberments and great lightsaber duels (including a wield four sabers at once by Grievous) the movie is worth the buy. So remember people, November 1st! (That or you can wait until it comes out in some huge all six episodes release).

Programs Cut Short Due to Insufficient Funding and Workers

July 23rd, 2005 | Category: News

The Vast Empire was recently updated on the development of certain Weapons and Vehicle projects. Due to the nearly insurmountable cost of these projects, the date for the delivery of the Tie Advanced fighter has been extended, once again. It has also been said that these projects require a large work force, and that’s something the VE has yet to gather. We have all heard of the Tie Advanced, and the supposed tasks it can accomplish, but we were promised that our Navy would be equipped with these “incredible” vehicles long ago, and that we should have been able to have our fleet operational by this time.

It seems that this is a repeated happening in our time, that constant promise of new weapons, and technology that are to better our military, and our entire civilization. The delayed delivery of the new fighters have further increased my suspicion about our current manufacturer, and the employees that are conducting this project. These recurring extensions and sometimes, termination of projects make you wonder what is really happening with these projects, and if something may be corrupt within the Empire.

Suspicion and doubt aside, the facts I received from the report sent to keep us up-to-date on the Tie Advanced research and development seemed promising. As you all may know, the company released a prototype and conducted a test flight a few months ago. That flight is what keeps fueling our want for the fighters, because the technology they hold can greatly improve the effectiveness of our Navy. The possibility of a rebel attack is very probable at this time, and our citizens, soldiers and officers rely on the Navy to defend the great reaches of space when the Army cannot do so.

This brings me to another point, and that is the arrival of Armor Piercing Blaster Rifles to equip active squads in the Army. These rifles are to be sent within 4 months or so, and should greatly prepare our troopers for battle against all enemies, both humanoid and machine. Armor piercing rounds have been available only to Special Operations in the past, but Army officials have felt the need to change that, due to the overwhelming success of those weapons on the battlefield. The expansive versatility of an Armor piercing round can destroy the tissue of an enemy soldier, and rip threw the plating of an enemy vehicle.

With that last thought in mind, lets hope the delivery of Armor piercing weapons aren’t delayed like the Tie Advanced fighters unfortunately were. These technology projects were created to better the Empire in every possible way, not to start thoughts of doubt floating around in our soldiers heads. Within months we should be a unstoppable force that will be able to decimate any enemy that may stand in our way if the appropriate deliveries are made. Let’s hope that happens…
