The Face of the Ever-changing Imperial Navy
I’ll start this article with the re-opening of Aegis Squadron. Now, as you may or may not know, the Navy is taking in tons of new people. With all of the new recruits being ushered into the Imperial Navy of the Vast Empire, it was no wonder that a third squadron would open up soon. Well, after a few days of waiting, Warrant Officer First Class Chipmunk Man has just received the shot at resurrecting Aegis Squadron, which just so happened to be Chip’s first squadron when he joined the VE back in October of 2002. Now, hopefully after a few more recruits come along, Viper Squadron will be resurrected as well, but we’ll all have to wait to find out if that will become a reality.
Now, onto another topic similar to the re-opening of Aegis Squadron, the roster is constantly changing day to day. New recruits who finish basic training are thrown into Kaph, Nazgul, or Aegis Squadron, but this is all up to the leader of the Naval Academy, Sk8guy. Of course, some recruits are delayed in getting into squadrons because they come in so quickly they can’t be dealt with immediately, but Sk8guy does an excellent job despite this challenge. New members come and go for the Navy, but for the ones who stay, they find a great time. After all, the Vast Empire itself is a great time.
Also relating to the Navy’s changing roster, the Naval Commander-in-Chief, Admiral Japheth, has slightly modified the rank scale. The new ranks with their old equivalents are as followed:

Thanks to Japheth for taking his time to create this adjustment to the ranking system of the Navy. There are some pay differences, but there are more ranks to aim for now. Admiral Japheth was quoted in saying that these new ranks were added to the existing Naval ranking structure in order to promote more stratification in the ranks while still keeping the commissioned ranks quite the ways away. Again, special thanks to Admiral Japheth on updating the Naval ranking structure and informing us on the updates.
Well, I guess this is about it for the report on the ever-changing Imperial Navy. Thank you for taking your time in reading this. Make sure to keep on reading the VE Today.
